Well I am finally here in Arequipa! I arrived yesterday at about 1:30 on the afternoon and was greeted by some different people from extreme including the family I will be living with for the next 3 months. The family is very nice and they have one daughter that understand about as much english as I do spanish. It helps though because we are able to understand each other a little. I will start Langauge school on monday and I will be the only one starting right now. Then there should be more people joining me soon. Thank you to everyone who was praying for a safe trip and I will be keeping you posted on what is happening over here in Peru.

Well the day has come! I leave TODAY to start my mission journey in Peru and Paragauy. I leave at 9:10 Tonight from LAX. I ask that as at this time you guys be in prayer that I will have a safe journey. I also ask that you pray for my family and I as I leave. This is going to be long emotional day for all of us, but I know that God will give us the strength to get through it!

Five more days!

It is almost scary to read the title of this post, because it means I only have four more days to get everything I need to do done. I am still trying to get packed which I have decided is very hard to do! I mean I only have 2 suitcase sand how in the world do you pack in 2 suitcases for 27 months! But luckily I talked to one of my 40/40 friends who is already in Peru and she gave me some good advice.
As my departure dates get closer I get more and more nervous. I am scared to leave my family and my friends but I know that this is where God wants me. I know he is going to be with me every part of the way but I sometimes find it is hard to believe when I start getting nervous about the future. I ask that you all be in prayer for me and my family in these last couple days. Pray that we can all leave it up to God!
As it gets closer I also get more excited. I can not wait to be there doing what God has called me to do!
Only FIVE more days!!!

Two Weeks!!!

I am just two weeks away from leaving for Peru and I am super excited! However I have no idea how I am going to get everything done... there is just to much to do it seems.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to speak at my Church here in Lompoc.So many people from the church here have committed to pray for me and support me. It is a huge blessing.
My last day of work at Michael's will be this Thursday and I am bummed. I really enjoyed working there and I am sorry to leave but I am super excited for what lies ahead.
I ask you all this week to be in prayer that my passport comes back very soon. I had to send it away to get the Visas I needed and it is not suppose to be back until the 22nd which happens to be only 4 days away from when I leave on the 26th. Pray that it comes back swiftly and nothing happens to it!
One more thing I wanted to let you all know was that I am still don't have all the funding needed but I am trusting God to provide the amount I need to be fully funded. I appreciate those of you that have already given and are praying for me. Please keep in prayer not only me but that the funds will all come together.
TWO WEEKS!!!!!!

I just wanted to update you all on what has been happening. I am still currently working on getting the funds I need raised. They way I figure it I am still a good 20,000 thousand away from my goal. But I know that with the Lord's help it will all come together.
The team for Paragauy is almost complete. We still need one more male 40/40 to go. I am already super excited about the team we have going already and I know God is going to do great things!
I am giving my two weeks notice this monday so pray that it all goes well. I have to admit I am kind of nervous about it because I have never given my two weeks notice before, but I mean how hard can it be.
This next week I am set to talk at my church about my call and what I will be doing in Paragauy. So you all do not want to miss that!
I also want to say thank you to all who are praying for me as I get ready to leave at the end of this month. Thank you all your guys are awesome!
